Protect Against Immigration Services Scams

Many immigrants have found themselves the victims of immigration services scams. Preying on the naivety, trust, and sometimes desperation of immigrants, hundreds of scammers hold themselves out to be authorized persons who can practice immigration law. Sometimes they will call themselves "notarios" which are considered attorneys or high-ranking officials with legal training in Latin American countries. They will collect thousands of dollars from trusting immigrants who are seeking help with their immigration cases, but when immigrants try to follow-up, the scammers are nowhere to be found or they threaten to call ICE on the immigrants if they report the fraud.

Immigrant Legal Services is aware of these prevalent scams victimizing thousands of immigrants everywhere. We help by providing pro bono and low bono legal representation and by educating immigrants on how to avoid immigration scams.
