KATE BARBER

If there is one thing that Kate has learned, it is that everyone's situation is different.  She is prepared to understand and analyze the unique aspects of your case and provide you with various options that fit your unique needs. 

EXPERIENCE

Kate has worked in both the private and nonprofit sectors in Oklahoma and Utah.  She has handled removal defense, asylum, special immigrant juvenile cases, adoptions, citizenship, consular processing, and many other types of cases.  Kate has represented hundreds of immigrants in proceedings before USCIS, the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Office, criminal courts in Oklahoma and Utah, and the Department of Labor.   

Kate is fluent in Spanish.

Kendall J. Moriarty

Staff Attorney

EXPERIENCE

Kendall has worked in immigration law since 2009.  After finishing law school in 2016, she began representing clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of State, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review.  She has assisted clients in deportation and asylum defense, affirmative asylum, adjustment of status, family based petitions, U visas, VAWA, and naturalization. Kendall believes that each client’s story matters and she seeks to help them tell it in the most effective way possible.  

Prior to starting at Immigrant Legal Services, Kendall worked in private practice for a year doing immigration legal services and general litigation.  In law school she spent significant time working on pro bono cases and volunteering for the College of Law’s free legal advice clinics where she continues to give her time.

Kendall is fluent in Spanish.
